The Opportunity
PSA is looking for an experienced National Business Development Manager – Major Projects to take the lead in identifying and securing major construction opportunities across Australia.
This is a high-impact, nationally focused role for a commercially driven business development professional who understands the construction industry, has strong relationships with major builders and contractors, and knows how to get involved early to influence project outcomes.
You’ll build PSA’s major-project pipeline, develop relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 builders, and work closely with our sales, engineering, technical and operations teams to turn opportunities into successful projects and long-term partnerships.
With an established national sales network, in-house technical capability and a broad product portfolio, you’ll have the platform and support to open doors, win projects and make a real contribution to PSA’s growth.
What You Will Do
Build and maintain a national pipeline of major construction projects and identify opportunities early.
Develop strong relationships with Tier 1, Tier 2 and other strategically important builders and contractors.
Engage with project managers, commercial and procurement teams, construction managers and key site stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for PSA products and engineered construction systems across major projects.
Drive opportunities from initial engagement through tender, procurement and order conversion.
Coordinate PSA's technical, engineering, sales, pricing and supply resources to support project wins and delivery.
Work closely with Regional Sales Managers, Account Managers and BDMs to convert national and multi-state opportunities.
Connect PSA's specification activity with builders and contractors so specified opportunities are followed through to procurement.
Develop strategic relationships with major contractor groups to create repeat and preferred-supplier opportunities.
Provide market intelligence on upcoming projects, competitor activity and emerging product opportunities.
About You
Proven business development or sales experience within the Australian construction industry.
You have an established network of strong relationships with major builders, contractors and key construction industry decision-makers.
Experience securing product or service opportunities on major construction projects.
Good understanding of the project lifecycle from design and specification through tender, procurement and construction.
Strong commercial, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Comfortable working with technical and engineered products and coordinating multiple internal stakeholders.
Self-driven, structured and capable of managing long and complex project sales cycles.
Willing to travel interstate regularly.
Highly Regarded
Experience in reinforcing steel, concrete accessories, engineered construction systems, precast, formwork or related products.
Existing Tier 1 and Tier 2 builder relationships.
Experience managing national or multi-state project opportunities.
A qualification in Business, Construction Management, Engineering or a related field.
