Lead the finance function and play a key role in driving business performance and growth.
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Finance Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function across our business based in Scoresby, Victoria.
Working closely with the Commercial Manager and Business Unit leadership team, you will provide accurate financial reporting, commercial analysis and insights to support budgeting, forecasting and business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end month-end and year-end close, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Ensure P&Ls are delivered on time, with analysis against budget, forecast and prior year.
Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure ageing of outstanding items is less than two months.
Prepare monthly financial commentary, reporting and commercial analysis for leadership.
Support budgeting, forecasting, business planning and commercial decision-making.
Monitor working capital across receivables, payables and inventory.
Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including payment runs, debtor performance and collections.
Maintain strong financial controls, compliance and integrity of the General Ledger.
Support Group Finance with BAS, FBT, payroll tax, audit and other statutory reporting requirements.
Lead finance integration for acquisitions into NetSuite, including chart of accounts, opening balances, master data and process alignment.
Drive continuous improvement, automation and standardisation of finance processes and systems.
Lead, coach and develop the Finance Team, promoting accountability, engagement, execution and continuous improvement.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
An experienced Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Senior Accountant.
CA/CPA qualified.
Strong across financial accounting, month-end, P&L, balance sheet and reporting.
Experienced in budgeting and forecasting.
Commercially minded with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Confident working with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is desirable, though not essential.
A strong leader who can coach, develop and empower a team.
Proactive, organised and committed to continuous improvement.
An excellent communicator who can work effectively with senior leadership and operational teams.
